Irish Local Lucky Lady Wins Euromillions €800,000 Jackpot

Officials now believe that the winning Euromillions ticket worth €800,000 was sold in Roxboro Stores last week to a person living locally. It appears a woman living in Garryowen, who bought two lottery tickets is the lucky winner but so far nobody has come forward to claim the prize.

Ann Roche is the co-owner of the shop where the ticket was purchased and she is proud of the fact that her store has such a lucky lottery history, including many past winners like the €4 million winning lotto ticket sold on May 1, 2010. As she said “We are absolutely delighted for one of our customers, there is a great buzz around and people are delighted and we hope it was somebody local. We won’t know – we were just told the ticket was sold last Friday, but we won’t know unless the person decides to go public.”

If you are the lucky lady from Garryowen Ireland, be sure to check your lotto numbers and claim your prize soon. The recent economic hardships of the Irish isle should not affect payouts to lottery winners, but stranger things have happened and collecting your EuroMillions before any laws are changed is always a prudent thing to do!
